I think I can officially say I love mornings. To be honest, I am not sure what made me dislike mornings, specifically early mornings before 7am used to seem like hell to me. But, now I would rather be awake (in fact I am naturally just awake) before 7am, enjoying the quiet that comes with dawn.
I love the peace, the birds, the cool breeze, and the innocence of a new day's beginning. At these moments, early in the morning, we can choose to a brand new version of ourselves. Each day, we can start again to make our lives full and happy in the way that we choose. The energy I hear around me when outdoors at this time of day, is amazing. Every creature is waking up with me, it causes my energy to vibrate at a higher frequency runs through me and gives me life (aka adrenaline).
I have been focusing on paying attention to the amazing feelings I get from this and utilize the same feelings in day to day life. Since it isn't possible for me at this point in my life to spend 100% of my time outdoors and exploring, I have to do my best to recreate the feelings I get from being outdoors and bring them indoors. I have spoken on this topic in past posts, the repetition you begin to see is a great example of how building good habits take time. They also take practice and, well, repetition. The more I speak on and actually DO these positive emotions, the more they become natural in places other than the great outdoors. In fact, I haven't been stressed or anxious about going into work for a long time now, a feeling that used to be all too common. I have been working the same job for 2 and a half years, so I haven't changed positions, I did change my mindset.
I hear a lot of people complain about their jobs. Unfortunately our society is run in a way where we don't have as much time for quality of life and adventures because we can't afford it. Unless you make the decision to work for yourself and set your own schedule (which takes even more of your time & money at first, then a normal 40 hour week) then you are probably working the usual 40 hours and then some. While we work, we don't always have the luxury of getting other things that we want done through out our days, and there are days when it seems as if it's all work and no play. These are the days that I channel the memory of the adrenaline from being outdoors and choose to feel that energy at work as well.
I want you to know that you can change your mindset and choose happiness, even if you are not in your dream job, or where you want to be. I want you to know that if you want happiness in your workplace, you can achieve it- the doors will open if you believe, the doors will open if you change your mindset. This energy that I can now channel into my everyday work life, not only makes me FEEL better, but it puts positive intentions out into the Universe to help me find ways to improve my situation. You can do this too, you'd be surprised how much opportunity will knock on your door if you begin to choose happiness in all life's situations.
Life is a lot easier when choosing to love everything we are doing. As we've all heard before, if you can change it; change it. If you can't change it; accept it. If you can't accept it; leave it. Dismiss negative emotions in your life the way you would dismiss rotting food... would you eat a rotten fruit or vegetable? No, because it would make us ill. So why take in negative energy and emotions, why accept them as okay? They can make us ill too... so we need to dismiss them. We have JUST as much control over eating a rotten fruit as we do accepting negative energy. Too many of us choose to take the negativity and allow it to let us suffer, WHY!?

We all have things from our pasts that have conditioned us to have certain beliefs. In many of the books I read it talks about clinging to certain beliefs that we were taught growing up. Without having any say about what goes into our own brains from infants to age 18, that is a lot of time for brainwashing, a lot of time for mis-education, and a lot of time for habits and beliefs to be shoved into our vastly absorbent brains. I am not saying everyone's parents are to blame, for they are doing the best they know how. This is just the way the human condition has developed and it's all part of a learning experience called Life.
For instance, one of the reasons that I used to struggle with mornings could have rooted from childhood, being one of five kids, second oldest, I had a lot of responsibilities around my household. Every morning before 7am, weekend or non, my younger siblings would get let loose into my bedroom to jump on me, turn my lights on, open my blinds, pull my covers off, etc, etc, whatever they could do to drag me out of bed. I resented mornings. It wasn't a pleasant way for a hormonal teenage girl to wake up. For some reason this could have affected my anxiety about mornings- fear of waking up tired and cranky, actually caused me to wake up tired and cranky. Now, I have realized that it is important for me to have quiet mornings. Time to reflect, wake up, breathe and prepare for my day and get into my right mindset.
In order to make sure I am ready for my day and in the right place mentally, I actually need to wake up earlier so that I have plenty of time before leaving for work. How do you choose to start your morning to get you in the best state of being for your day? Do you switch it up? Have a routine? Think of something you can do to improve your mental state each and every day. Tend to be rushing out the door? Wake up earlier... yes it really is that simple.
