OWN IT

There are many times in our lives when we have to make big decisions. Most of the time when we make these big decisions we tend to talk with family and friends to get opinions and advice on what we should do. I am someone who has always been mostly independent when making decisions, but I do like to talk them out with people I am closest to. As of lately, I have realized that any decisions I make; I always end up happy, because as I have said in past posts- happiness is a choice. It doesn't matter what others have to say, and quite frankly, the people who I have in my life are most always supportive of any decisions I make anyways. I am blessed for that.

The more I grow the more I learn though, that the only opinion the truly matters is my own. If I am set on making a choice that is enough. I have learned that the more you OWN the decisions you make, take accountability, and stop feeling the need to explain yourself; the happier you will be with the decision. I am constantly making decisions for myself that will lead me down a different path than I originally thought I would take, and I LOVE every

minute of the changes being made. At times, I find myself worrying what others in my life may think when I finalize different choices, but I am continuously reminded that the only opinion that matters to me, is mine.

I encourage you to make decisions for yourself without feeling the need to explain yourself to others. It is extremely freeing. The right people will stick with you and support you no matter what you choose in life. If they don't support you, if they don't stick with you, then they were not meant to stay in your life for this next chapter. We are moving into another season and with this movement comes a lot of time for change and growth. USE this time and CHANGE and GROW! Do it without approval of others, but only approval of yourself. I can speak from personal experience when I say, making decisions for yourself, by yourself, is one of the surest ways to grow and learn. I have been alone in a new place for a year now. My anniversary was a few days ago, the time flew by, it has been amazing, scary, difficult, emotional, exciting, adventurous, and more. But each move I made here, was on my own. Without approval from anyone else. And I loved it. I now can trust myself to make decisions for myself that will be positive and productive moving forward. I have never trusted myself more.

Take a leap. Trust yourself. OWN your decisions. And kick ass.
