Someone else's words

As I sit here eating a veggie wrap, I am being inspired by someone else's words, once again. This post is dedicated to those words because I resonated with them.

"They say the loudest in the room is weakest,

I struggle to speak in a room of small talk,

For words of gossips: they are the cheapest,

My mind wonders and soon my legs walk,

I crave words that transcend our spirits,

The times we explain the feelings inside,

The stars, the arts, life beyond limits,

The intangible details that make up our minds,

A sweet abundance of staggering substance,

A conversation that makes the mind work,

The imagination that gives the words justice,

The feeling we get when truly we're heard,

So speak up, speak loud, whisper me your soul,

Dive into mine with a thought-invoking line,

Run around wild or take a gentle stroll,

Just don't expect a small-talk reply."
