Non Toxic

As of today I have officially rid my home of all toxic products. I got rid of all cleaners aside from my organic and non-toxic ones. I got rid of all my toxic beauty products and replaced them with organic and vegan products. I started using a nail polish brand called Base Coat Nails- it is a Denver founded company that has non-toxic and vegan nail polish. I am awaiting my new skin care line- which includes a cleaner, a moisturizer, and a tinted moisturizer so that covers my makeup replacement as well. A good friend of mine introduced to me this skin care line, her name is Andi as well and she has her own skin care business. Organic Escape Skin Studio. She is based in Carlsbad, California. I will link you to her Instagram page HERE.
I highly recommend you start going through your household items and getting rid of the toxins. There are so many bad chemicals in the products we use day to day- just think of the toxins we ingest by eating off of dishes that we have washed with Dawn dish soap, or putting make up on our faces that have harmed animals to produce. There are many ways we can be conscious to help conserve our Earth and I would say one of the easiest ways is to stop buying toxic products. If we all stopped buying them, they would no longer be in demand, and therefore no longer be produced. My skin, my breathing, my hair, everything feels clear and happy with these changes I have made in my life. We are already constantly breathing in toxins that are in the air from pollution so why not minimize the destruction by ridding of chemicals in our own homes. There are plenty of alternatives, and they really are not more expensive.

I recommend an app for your iPhone: Thrive Market- it is a green colored app with a white box icon. It is an online Costco meets Whole Foods app and there are TONS of organic and recycled material items for a highly discounted rate. I ordered some tooth paste, a recycled materials tooth brush, organically made and vegan mascara, some Apple Cider Vinegar, and some other house hold items all off of this app; for cheaper than I could have bought any of it in store. It shipped in three days, what is more convenient than that?! The first 30 days are free, and then after that there is a yearly cost (not very expensive) to shop at a discounted price...worth it in my opinion.
Making changes like this takes some sacrifice and some research, but your body, skin, mind, lungs, etc, will thank you in the long run. It is also a very rewarding feeling knowing I no longer am contributing to products that do not have our health's best interest in mind. Unfortunately we live in a time that all any big brand name company cares about is how to make money the fastest and easiest way possible. But the brands that are taking their time to create products that are good for us are being underrated. Take some time and really think about why you buy the cleaners you do, the make up you do, the shampoo and conditioner you do. If there is a way you can incorporate a better brand and accomplish the same end result... why wouldn't you choose the healthier option?!
